COLIN HALLAHAN

COLIN HALLAHAN

Retro. Cosmic.
Romantic.

Colin Hallahan is a funk/pop singer-songwriter, dynamic live performer, and Nashville’s hardest-working flute player. Born and raised in the small town of Old Lyme, Connecticut (the namesake of Lyme disease), Colin originally set his sights on becoming a rocket scientist. While studying Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at Purdue University, however, music ultimately stole his heart, and he ditched the stars for the stage.

Colin’s next stop was Sonalyst’s Powerstation New England recording studio, where he worked as a sound engineer assisting artists such as William Shatner on his musical poetry album Bill and Gov’t Mule on their Grammy-nominated release Heavy Load Blues. Also passionate about working and volunteering with children with developmental and behavioral disorders, Colin finds purpose in supporting them in building confidence, relationships, and life skills. This dedication guided him to Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he earned degrees in Music Therapy and Songwriting in May 2025.

Throughout his journey, Colin has consistently written, produced, and released original music as a solo artist. Blending retro nostalgia, romantic themes, and cosmic imagery, his songs reflect a self-aware and thoughtful songwriting style that has resonated with audiences across the United States. Having moved to Nashville in September 2025, Colin has brought his indomitable positivity, unique imagination, and passionate musicianship to stages and writing rooms alike. As his music career unfolds, his mission remains clear: to create welcoming, interactive live shows, leave every audience member smiling, and craft personal music that speaks to universal truths in unexpected ways.

Saying things you know to be true in a way that you haven’t heard before is his specialty, and bringing that experience to the world is his plan. But who is he? Colin Hallahan is a creative mind and is an artist in every sense of the word. Beyond his eccentric and positive personality, Colin is inspired to make music that is introspective, passionate, humorous, and most importantly is the purest representation of his being.

He may have started out as a flute player in the small town of Old Lyme, Connecticut (the namesake of the infamous Lyme Disease carried by ticks worldwide), but Colin soon found himself studying Aeronautical/Astronautic Engineering, aka Rocket Science, at Purdue University. After deciding that wasn’t for him, he interned at renowned recording studio Sonalyst’s Powerstation New England, assisting a number of

notable artists including legendary jam band Gov’t Mule on their Grammy Nominated record Heavy Load Blues. Now studying Songwriting and Music Therapy at Berklee College of Music, Colin is pursuing his career in music as a solo artist, playing frequent shows, and regularly releasing music.

The Colin Hallahan guarantee is this: wherever he can help you find a smile, he will. Maybe it’s a laugh when hearing an unlikely situation he’s dreamed up into lyrics, or a sad smile when a song brings back memories of times past. It could be a smirk from a shamelessly self-deprecating line, or even just hearing that first chord of a song you love. Colin uses his songs to allow others the same experience of self-expression, by telling stories that are universally and intensely human.
